Welcome to
Free City Zine,
a student-run publication of the School of Urban Planning at McGill University in Montréal, Quebec, Canada.
Free City Magazine is produced on unceded lands, where many First Nations have and continue to live and gather.
The Kanien`kehá:ka Nation are the guardians of the land and waters of Tiohtiá:ka (Montréal), where ongoing struggles for Indigenous sovereignty and justice persist. This year’s theme “The Dis/Connected City” offers an opportunity to reflect on the relationships in these inherent indigenous spaces as well as our individual and collective roles in creating inclusive, equitable cities.
